Postgraduate Certificate in Public Relations

The certificate provides students with a grounding in various aspects of public relations theory and practice. Depending on their choice of units students can focus on:  ethics, issues management, crisis communication, media relations, strategy development and stakeholder engagement.

Duration:1 semester full-time or part-time equivalent

Restriction:All postgraduate courses are subject to restriction.
Employment Prospects:While the Postgraduate Certificate will develop skills and understanding of the field, the Postgraduate Diploma in PR will be a professional qualification. The certificate will lead on to the diploma. Diploma graduates would be able to take up positions in public relations consultancies, businesses, government agencies and non-government organisations in Australia and the region. The types of jobs include media liaison, publicists, public affairs officers, campaign organisers, communication managers, sponsorship managers and event coordinators.
