About ResearchResearch degrees within the School of Media, Communication & Culture are offered in the Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy and Research Masters In A Number Of Programmes. The Research Masters requires eighteen months of full-time study and combines some coursework with a research thesis. The MPhil and the Doctor of Philosophy are 'thesis only' degrees and carry a maximum candidature of two and four years respectively.
Entry Requirement Applicants for admission to candidature for a research degree must normally hold at least an upper second class honours bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Evidence of other scholarly or professional attainments involving research preparation may also be considered.
